Farm Assistant

NutriAg's research farm is currently looking for an Assistant to the Farm Manager to help out on our farm. You'll work with our experienced Property Manager to keep our research farm running smoothly.
We are looking for the following skills:
- Know how to use and look after farm equipment like tractors and small diggers (at least 2 years of experience)
- Are good with a chainsaw and can cut down trees, trim them, and keep hiking trails neat
- Can do basic carpentry and fix things around the farm
- Know about gardening, landscaping, and making hard surfaces like paths
- Assisting with field trials and data collection, including planting, harvesting, measuring various growth parameters, and pruning/maintaining/monitoring farm, orchard, and vineyard crop systems
- Handling irrigation
- Mowing grass and weeding
- Spraying pesticides and fertilizers as required
- Operate tractors and other farm vehicles
- General farm labour
- Landscaping tasks as required
- G-Class driver’s license a must

Job Environment:
- Outdoors and exposed to various elements of weather, including rain, snow, cold, and hot, humid days
- Capable of lifting 25kgs repeatedly
- Capable of working low to the ground for long periods when needed
- Will be working within a Research and Development scope, with exposure to plant and soil science projects
What we provide:
- Full time (until the end of September)-(40 hours a week) Monday-Friday
- A good starting pay depending on your experience
