**Overview of the Role**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to join our team at our corporate office in Edmonton, Alberta. From our corporate office, the Corporate Controller will support UK accounting operations, and you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Reporting to the CFO, you will help support EPF's business units to drive financial success.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Financial policy, procedures, and internal controls_
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to financial systems.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place and functioning to minimize risk of error.
- Financial reporting_
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management, board and board sub-committees on a timely basis.
- Preparation of IFRS compliant consolidated financial statements, including note disclosures.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Accounting_
- Oversee the general, full cycle accounting function, which includes intercompany accounting, cash management/reconciliation, balance sheet management and payroll management.
- Taxation_
- File and remit GST/HST returns.
- Work with external tax consultants to prepare and file annual tax returns.
- Team leadership and development_
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Audit oversight_
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Ability to manage multiple separate audits simultaneously
- Cash flow management_
- Manage EP’s cash position and ensure the funds are being appropriately allocated.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of demonstrated work experience in full-cycle accounting and IFRS reporting.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required.
- Good standing CPA designation.
- Experience in a publicly traded company is preferred.
- Experience with intercompany transactions.
- Excellent English speaking, reading, writing skills. Multilingual ability is a plus.
- Analytical, detail oriented and technically astute.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to developing teams.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-starter, with the ability to handle a heavy workload and competing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Sage Intacct or other accounting ERP system experience is an asset and is preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
