Administrative Full-time New Position

The Program Manager is accountable for providing academic, technical and administrative leadership, supervision and direction to the faculty, students, and project partners in full-time programs, part-time studies and special projects, under the direction of the Chair. The incumbent is accountable for the research, planning, development, delivery, budgeting, sales and marketing of daytime, evening and weekend activity, both on and off-site, including full-time non-funded and graduate programs, and part-time studies in the areas of IT, Business, Engineering Technology and Trades.

This position involves extensive contact with agencies, industry member, and professional organizations. The position is responsible for revenue generation and delivery of profit to contribute to the College through full-time programming, international, part-time studies, and special projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facilitates the development and implementation of new academic programs, and the ongoing review of existing programs, under the supervision of the Chair
- Oversees program reviews, ensuring high-quality curriculum delivery and continuous quality improvement, and reflecting changing technology, economic and market influences, and employment opportunities
- Coordinates sharing of curriculum between faculty, and maintains curriculum records
- Ensures course shells (in D2L) meet College standards
- Coordinates student retention initiatives for selected programs
- Provides academic and administrative leadership to faculty, staff and students in full/part-time programs, and courses, in the potential areas of Health, IT, Business, Engineering Technology and Trades, under the supervision of the Chair
- Ensures the programs operate in accordance with college policies and procedures; counsels students and faculty regarding policies, procedures, and academic integrity
- Plans, develops, and schedules complex activities and operations including allocating human, fiscal, and physical resources
- Manages operations for academic programs and activities, marketing, resource acquisition, ongoing review and partnership activities
- Maintains a high level of performance through effective recruitment, selection, development and evaluation of part-time faculty
- Establishes the workload for faculty in accordance with the provision of the collective agreement
- Works with College staff on special projects including proposal development, research, RFP responses, faculty, support staff and departments such as the Registrar’s Office, Purchasing and Facilities departments
- Develops and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Represents the School and College through participation and membership in committees, working groups, public relations, etc.
- Liaises with Chairs, Managers, faculty, and support staff from other schools and departments such as Student Services, the Registrar’s Office, Bookstore and Facilities to ensure the smooth operation of programs
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Four-year Degree in Education, Business, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or Project Management; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum five years of relevant work experience in an academic environment
- Experience working in the information technology field is an asset
- Superior project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills in order to resolve conflict, problem solve, and inspire quality deliverables
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as collaborative as part of a team and participate in consultative decision making
