The ideal **Shipper & Receiver** is a team player, forward thinker, and is key to our operational workflow. Whether the challenge is to load a large order, maintain an accurate inventory, or process equipment to our rental ready standards, attitude and accuracy is key.

**Responsibilities**
- Complete day-to-day activities assigned by the Supervisor, Shipping and Receiving.
- Pick up and return gear to various locations throughout the Lower Mainland Region
- Ability or willingness to learn how to drive a Cargo Van, 1-Ton Truck, and 5-Ton Truck depending on the gear being transported (All Automatic Vehicles)
- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner.
- Adhere to strict pick-up and return deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy of paperwork and counts.
- Keep company vehicles clean and report vehicle issues to Fleet.
- Correspond with all departments regarding subrental discrepancies.
- Ensure that all incoming packages from other locations are in good condition and paperwork is turned in to the proper recipients for check-in.
- Ensure that all goods are received in acceptable condition, logged in the system, and delivered to the appropriate recipient.
- Ensure that all outgoing equipment to other locations is packaged in a safe manner and has all the proper documentation.
- Prepare local, domestic, and international shipments (palletize, wrap, weigh, and secure).
- Prepare customs documentation.
- Load/unload trailers.
- Operate sit-down counterbalance forklift in a safe manner.
- Create and distribute daily shipping reports.
- Keep all files organized.
- Attend daily general meeting and daily departmental meeting.
- Assist the warehouse team members if workload in shipping/receiving is mínimal.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Create a work environment that fosters creativity, ingenuity, and high employee morale.
- Identify areas to reduce costs whenever and wherever possible.
- Other duties as required.
- Currently holds a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Equipment knowledge is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, loud, and fast-paced environment
- Works well in a team environment.
