**Accounting Coordinator**

The Role

The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations with planning, directing, and coordinating the accounting functions of Manitoulin Brewing Company

Reports to: President

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Duties
- To ensure that the company policies and processes are adhered to and continually improved
- Timely and accurate posting of invoices in Sage Cloud and payments as prescribed by President.
- Processing of credit card expenses and supporting receipts via the banking module in Sage Cloud. Approval of statements activity on a monthly basis from President
- Balancing of invoices to supplier statements and entries of any missing invoices or unapplied payments by suppliers within 3 days of receipt of the statement.
- Weekly reporting on Accounts Payable Aging report sent to President. Part of Weekly Accounts Payable processing prior to payments being made - Required approval by President in order to process final payment.
- Weekly review of Aged Accounts Payable listings to ensure accurate and timely review of the status of payables.
- Work with other MBC staff members to ensure that all required information has been received and stored appropriately according to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned on a periodic basis by President.

Accounts Receivable Duties
- To ensure that the company policies and processes are adhered to and continually improved
- Processing invoices for any manual invoices to customers
- Investigation into invoicing discrepancies and reporting to the President & Vice President
- Posting of daily sales reports including payments, revenue, and AR entries into Sage Cloud.
- Weekly report on A/R status, accounting balance discrepancies from audit, group payments and deposits received submitted to President & Vice President.
- Work with other departments to ensure that all required information has been received and stored appropriately according to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned on a periodic basis by President

Payroll Administration duties
- Request WSIB submissions through payroll processing system biweekly
- Reconcile monthly CRA Payroll Statements of Account and submit to President for approval.
- Enter submitted and approved commissions and adjustments as required on biweekly payroll including all backup.
- Reconcile annual WSIB submittal based on payments and T4’s to submit to President for approval
- Maintain accuracy of employee database systems from Employee Labour tracking system through to payroll processing system.
- Maintain detailed files for each employee including contact details, resume, payroll enlistment forms, employment agreement, training tracking, disciplinary forms, WSIB claims and incident reports. Separate lines maintain accurate payroll records and filing all supporting backup for payments
- Process and distribute ROE’s as directed.

General Accounting Duties
- Prepare and book journal entries with related supporting schedule updates.
- Maintain the chart of accounts including supporting digital and physical filing of accounting records
- Work closely with operations and sales teams to collect data for month-end and year-end close as required
- Review Inventory counts and coordinate inventory management systems
- Perform internal reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency/accuracy
- Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Complete monthly HST Returns and ensures compliance
- Oversee replies to requests and inquiries from Statistics Canada
- Assist the President and Vice President in the development of annual budgets and monthly forecast updates
- Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
- Provide regular feedback and recommendations to upper management on issues and opportunities

Accountable Timelines
- Biweekly payroll management
- Regular processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable processes
- Processing of monthly statement package to owners each month

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Accounting Occupations: 1 year (required)
- accounting: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in LITTLE CURRENT, ON
