**Overview**
Reporting to our VP of Marketing this person will act as a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team with have the dual responsibility of driving the overall content and SEO strategy for the business. Your primary objective will be to plan and deliver content that engages, inspires and helps customers on our site that also boosts our organic search performance and translates into new business. You will work collaboratively with other members of the marketing team and other departments in the company to come up with creative content ideas that can be delivered across channels. Content may include landing pages, product descriptions, blogs, videos, social media, and more. You will use critical thinking, strong written communication skills, and creativity to take our content and organic search tactics to the next level. This is a high responsibility, high impact, hands on role on a highly collaborative team that will be well suited to an experienced "doer" who isn't fussed about how many people they are managing as long as there is a team to help out when and where it's appropriate.
**Job description**
- Own and deliver on organic traffic targets through consistent, high quality execution of SEO tactics including on-site content creation and management and guidance of external agency resources.
- Own the content marketing strategy across StickerYou including establishing a content architecture, content types, best practices, and new processes.
- Deliver on-page optimizations that boost the organic visibility of the StickerYou site, working collaboratively with the development team and other stakeholders.
- Review, edit and enhance existing written content across the business.
- Independently and proactively generate ideas for content across all channels, and work cross functionally to deliver that content.
- Think about and implement strategies to promote content to specific audiences
- Be the primary champion of SEO in the company, providing ongoing expertise on all our activities may impact organic traffic
- Along with the VP marketing, own the relationship with an external SEO agency, monitor their deliverables and performance.
- Assist with producing videos, printed assets and marketing materials as needed
- Assist with marketing administration and report as required
**Qualifications**
- 5 years of experience in SEO optimisation and content writing at an e-commerce business or digital marketing agency
- Excellent written copywriting and editing skills
- Technical understanding of e-commerce operations and website development
- Strong knowledge of SEO optimization practices
- Good knowledge of how various digital marketing channels work
- Keen interest in technology, digital, and the future direction of online commerce
- Strong sense of initiative and bias for action
- Positive can-do attitude
- Natural collaborator and team player
- Knowledge of stickers/labels, small business or printing would be an asset
