**Policy Analyst**:
**Association of Municipal Administrators, NS**:
The Association of Municipal Administrators, NS (AMANS) is seeking a Policy Analyst to support our membership and the work of the Association. AMANS is a professional association of current and future municipal government managers and administrators, dedicated to excellence in municipal government through education, objective advice and networking.

Reporting to the AMANS Executive Director, the Policy Analyst will:

- Carry out research and analysis and develop policy in the best interest of municipal government.
- Work collaboratively with municipal and provincial partners to develop policy advice that supports evidence-based decision making.
- Provide strategic advice to the AMANS Board of Directors
- Lead and support programs and projects of AMANS such as the municipal salary survey, municipal by-law and policies library, Municipal Management Modules (education workshops for elected and appointed officials), and member communications.

You come to the position with a university/college degree/diploma in a related area (e.g., public administration, business administration, law, social sciences, economics, etc.). You also come to the position with 2+ years of analyst experience relating to government policy at any level. Other ‘must haves’ for the position are demonstrated experience/education/skills in: project management; strong verbal and written communication skills; and a valid drivers license (for travel requirements). Assets you bring to the position include knowledge of local government issues; experience working with volunteers, committees and boards; and website management systems skills.

Education : Bachelor’s degree
Experience : 2 years to less than 3 years
