Hospice Georgian Triangle provides compassionate care in the home and at Campbell House for individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness living in the communities of the Town of Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Clearview Township. Care programs come at no cost to the patient or client and focus on the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of both the patient and family.

Campbell House in Collingwood is seeking an experienced **Kitchen Coordinator **to oversee the planning and delivery of the Hospice's food service program, with the goal of creating a warm and hospitable home-like environment for our patients and their families and caregivers.

In addition, you will assist in the maintenance of required inventory, pick up and receive groceries on a regular basis, ensure our facilities are clean and equipment is in good working order, maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Skills & Experience:

- 3-5 years' experience in the healthcare hospitality industry, including menu preparation, ordering, inventory, quantity food preparation, servicing and clean up preferred.
- Certified Food Service Professional an asset.
- Understanding of healthcare settings, in particular adults living with life-limiting illness.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and requirements including Ministry of Health & Long Term Care and Safe Food Program. Collaborate with the Volunteer & Food Services Coordinator to create and implement systems and procedures to maintain ongoing compliance with regulations and best practice.
- Experience working with a Volunteer workforce and/or within Health Care food services..
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong professional relationships and facilitate teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple workplace demands through strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong written, verbal and listening skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Working with the Volunteer & Food Services Coordinator to develop and prepare food in accordance with the weekly menu plan.
- Identify and meet the unique food service needs or requests of patients.
- Assist with preparing food for special events including training meetings, holiday meals, community programming and special events.
- Work in collaboration with Hospice Housekeeping to maintain an adequate inventory of kitchen supplies and cleaning products.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment ensuring compliance with food handling and food inspection standards and requirements.
- Ensure food service Volunteers are following food handling standards.
- Ensure kitchenware and equipment is maintained and in good working order.
- Develop and implement daily and monthly cleaning schedules for kitchen facilities, equipment and storage areas.
- Maintain required documentation, record keeping and statistical reporting practices.

Key Organizational Responsibilities:

- Provide services in keeping with the Hospice's Mission, Vision, Beliefs and Values.
- Adhere to the principles and expectations outlined in the Code of Conduct.
- Maintain compliance with the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Adhere to the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA 2010) as outlined in the organization's Privacy Policies and Procedures.
- Perform the functions of the job description in compliance with the Health and Safety practices of the organization and in accordance with the Provincial Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Campbell House is open 24/7 so hours can be anything between 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., any day of the week or weekend, depending on shift requirements (each shift is 7.5 hours). You will be supported by a team of committed Volunteers and Staff who are dedicated to the welfare of our patients, their families and caregivers.

Remuneration is based on experience, and we provide a competitive benefits package, including pension.
