Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a **Production Trainee, First shift **at our **Woodbridge** manufacturing plant. This opportunity will allow you to learn our business, manufacturing processes, and gain skills necessary to develop into a Manager. This role reports to the Assistant Division Manager.

Your additional responsibilities as **Production Trainee** will include:

- Quality, reporting, and scheduling
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in a Business or Manufacturing/Industrial related discipline is preferred
- 3 - 5 years of Canadian manufacturing /production experience is required
- Shipping, traffic, logistics background would be an asset
- Ability to work successfully in an autonomous environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and be willing to work as a team member in a “hands-on" production environment
- Capability to work under just-in-time and lean manufacturing theories
- Strong direct supervisory skills and experience
- Great organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Leadership potential
