**We're seeking a Commercial Business Specialist to join our team at PayByPhone**

**About the role**

The Commercial Business Specialist works alongside all teams within the NA Commercial organization. These teams are responsible for new business, existing business, implementations and onboarding, as well as marketing. You will be assisting various departments with the purpose of creating efficiencies, driving growth from both existing and new business, reporting on metrics and KPI’s for the department as well as conducting market research and competitive intel.

We are a remote-first organization and support your choice to adopt the most productive workplace for you. While most of our North American employees are eligible to work from home most of the time, our head office in Yaletown, Vancouver is open Monday - Friday for those who prefer an office environment or want to collaborate in-person. We also host a great party However, our hiring capabilities are currently restricted to certain regions in North America.

**This role has the option to be primarily remote, with the occasional required in-office event and meeting. Applicants must reside in Metro Vancouver/Fraser Valley, BC in order to be considered.**

**What you'll do**
- Qualify inbound sales inquiries to determine next steps and resources
- Schedule meetings and hand-off qualified prospects to appropriate sales team members
- Document and maintain prospect status, data integrity, and records of interactions in Salesforce
- Manage national purchasing contracts such as NCPA
- Partner with Sales Directors to develop strategies to target prospects
- Partner with Client Success to develop strategies to target existing clients
- Nurture opportunities and work to close/win business
- Put together reports and dashboards that visualize the activity of the Commercial team
- Report monthly on KPIs regarding the pipeline, both new business and existing business
- Work to continuously improve the lead generation process and commercial team reports
- Manage/administer Commercial Team confluence pages (internal wiki), excluding Implementation
- Conduct targeted market research and document findings in Salesforce
- Assist Marketing Specialist with event planning which may include registering team members, organizing shipments of booth and swag materials, coordinating social media campaigns
- Occasional travel may be required, for events and meetings with assorted clients
- Lead and co-ordinate Commercial Team special projects as assigned by the Managing Director, NA

**What you bring**
- 3+ years’ experience in customer-facing roles in hospitality, sales, marketing, or similar
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Efficient and self-led, utilizing effective time management skills to prioritize a variety of tasks independently, with a sense of urgency and low oversight
- Experience compiling and analyzing information for reports
- Expert-level capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with a proven ability to learn and adapt to new software programs quickly
- Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, earning trust from your colleagues and acting as SME in your space
- Able to learn quickly, using professional judgement to delegate leads to the appropriate team member effectively
- Comfortable interacting with clients and industry partners in a professional and courteous manner
- Experience in generating Salesforce reports is an asset
- Prior experience using Salesforce (or other CRM)
- Prior experience with Power Bi, Looker or other analytics tools
- Post-secondary degree is an asset but not required
- You are ambitious, self-motivated, positive and energetic

**Success in this role looks like**
- A great track record of qualifying leads for the Sales team and putting together reports about sales team activity
- Proven success in assisting the team to uncover upsell opportunities in existing clients' portfolios
- Coordinating marketing campaigns to illicit interest with both clients and prospects effectively
- Up-to-date storage and organization of Commercial Team assets

**Compensation**

The salary range for this role is $60,000 CAD - $70,000 CAD annually, and may also be eligible for participation in our Variable Compensation Plan, which is based on industry standards and reflects the market rate for similar positions in the area.

We take into account several factors when determining a proposed salary, including but not limited to experience, education, location, budget, and internal equity. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes fairness and consistency, and job offers will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
