Ruth and Naomi’s Mission is a Christian faith-based organization with a vision and commitment to see the lives of people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and struggling with addiction transformed by the love of God. Our kitchens serve over 380 meals a day, feeding both the residents of our Supportive Housing program and those accessing our services at Pathways. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Food Service Manager.

The Food Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations at Ruth & Naomi's Mission. In addition to managing kitchen staff at multiple locations, they are responsible for overseeing inventory management, nutrition, and meal preparation. This position reports to the Director of Operations and liaises with Program Managers who oversee the programs with a food service component. There are both administrative and food preparation components to this role. The work environment is a busy, noisy area with access to a secured common area as well as to the street to allow for deliveries and drop offs.

**Job Description & Duties**
- Oversee and manage the overall operations of the Food Service department
- Manage Food Service budget and resources, with oversight from the Director of Operations, coordinating purchases and inventory management
- Maintain staff, participating in recruitment & terminations, and providing oversight for payroll, scheduling, and staff issues across multiple locations
- Prepare quality food items, participating in developing and planning healthy and desirable meals, and maintaining a clean and tidy workplace
- Ensure appropriate training and development is provided for reports, identifying areas of need and potential growth
- Evaluate effectiveness of kitchen processes and procedures, working collaboratively with Program Managers to fulfill unique needs of each location
- Ensure a positive environment for volunteers, providing training and support as needed
- Maintain food donor relationships, liaising with external partners to facilitate the receipt of donations
- Ensure quality and effective communication with clients, colleagues, reports, volunteers, and vendors
- Participate in Lead Team meetings: providing department specific insight, advocacy, and accountabilities

**Assets & Experience**
- Current Food Safe designation required
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership/management position required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Culinary skills, with a minimum of 5 years of kitchen experience
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with experience in budget and COGS management
