At SD48, we believe that diversity

actively
work on teacher learning teams using collaborative models of support to

interventions. Additionally, teachers mentor students, over time,

All teachers
must be prepared to use a variety of technology for planning, attendance
monitoring, communicating classroom instruction and reporting, and be prepared
to support the School Improvement Plan and District goals through Indigenous
ways of knowing, being and doing and the Four Blankets of Resilience.

behavioral approach in the interview process, we are seeking qualified
includes describing the situation or task, the actions you took and the results

Necessary
Qualifications:
- possession of a
valid B.C. Teaching Certificate;
- university
training, or its equivalent, relevant to the posted position; and,
- successful
teaching experience relevant to the posted position.

DISTRICT - SOUTH
The
successful applicant will:
- demonstrate a high degree of knowledge of and understanding
of personalized learning, Secondary Math and Science and project-based learning;
- Have proven skills working collaboratively with classroom
teachers;
- have proven skills in teaching grades 10 to 12;
- have 5 years successful teaching experience; and,
- possess a BC Driver’s license and be able to travel to all
communities in the district.
Reporting
Instructional Leadership team and the primary objectives will be to:
- Support schools primarily in Squamish but also occasionally
in Pemberton and Whistler;
- lead classroom teachers in the areas of personalization and
curricular design, numeracy curriculum development and cross-cultural
understandings and assessment;
- work with classroom teachers in the implementation of
curriculum within a Project Based and Inquiry Based Learning Model;
- support the primacy of the classroom environment and
increase the capacity to support all learners in the classroom;
- coordinate and organize district wide events and
opportunities for authentic student learning
- coordinate and organize district professional learning
opportunities;
- develop a school-based model for Tier One and Tier Two
Intervention in partnership with Learning Services;
- Develop and implement the K to 12 Assessment Plan;
- Liaise with the district Itinerant support team (IST); and,
- Support the Sea to Sky school district with the development
of a new strategic plan
Salary range : $59,432.34 per to $108,341.34 per year, based on category as
assigned by the Teachers’ Qualification Service (TQS) and previous teaching
experience
note order of preference.
