**Help people create homes they love.** Join the Urban Barn team as a **Manager in Training** supporting our stores in the **Lower Mainland area** (Abbotsford, Langley, Surrey, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam**, **Vancouver, and/or West Vancouver)**. With over 50 retail stores across the country, Urban Barn is a national retail chain offering high-quality furniture and home décor. Provide the guidance and leadership for our sales team within an inspiring furniture and home décor store. As a Manager in Training, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in creating an excellent customer experience and a positive work environment for the team. You will champion Urban Barn values through promoting respect, honesty, and fairness among our store teams through inspiring, encouraging, and coaching our people to be their best. **This position provides managerial development for the eventual role of Store Manager.**

**What You Will Do**:
- Motivate your team to deliver the best customer experience
- Communicate your expectations to the team and provide training, coaching, and feedback
- Manage store merchandising, inventory, and shrink
- Lead and maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store
- Grow and manage the business within your community, representing the brand in a professional manner
- Perform additional projects/duties/assignments as required

- Detail oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently under pressure

**What You Bring**:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Retail Sales Management
- Reliable transportation with the ability to commute to store locations in the region
- Experience with leading, coaching, and developing a team
- Ease of using technology such as a Point-of-Sale system and iPad
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate
- Ability to effectively communicate - provide and receive feedback in the moment
- Commitment to a flexible schedule (Open to daytime, evening, and weekend shifts)
- The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
- Eagerness to develop in a long-term role at Urban Barn
