As a member of the OMERS Capital Markets (OCM) team in Toronto, reporting to the Director, Head of Portfolio Analytics, you will contribute and lead our transformation of how Capital Markets improves investment decision making through data driven insights.

As an Analyst, Portfolio Analytics, at OMERS Capital Markets, you will be part of a team that are building a world-class portfolio analytics platform. **You will be responsible for**:
Develop and implement quantitative analytical tools involving large amounts of data from a wide spectrum of data types.
Develop tools to help mathematically model an array of security types (bonds, swaps and derivatives)
Deliver the analytic result in simple and convenient visualization
Work closely with colleagues across Capital Markets

**To succeed in this role, you bring the following**:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or any other quantitative field.
1+ years of relevant experience
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL is required
Experience working within capital markets or interest in capital markets is an asset
Experience with financial tools or software (e.g. Bloomberg) and machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark MLib, Theano or Caffe is an asset
A passion around learning new technologies and analytical techniques
Strong attention to detail, highly organized and keen to learn
Ability to work independently and within a team
An action-oriented approach with a high degree of initiative and ability to deliver results
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills
