- mental health and addictions FOR NIGHT SHIFTS (Meal preparation, cleaning, and client support duties)**

**Location**:West Edmonton

**Hours**:Various day/ evening/ night/ casual, part-time, full time, and weekend shift rotations available

**Salary**:Commensurate with experience.

**CCG is a social enterprise whose focus is to provide supportive living services and care solutions to vulnerable people of all ages, with complex needs, chronic health challenges, and experiencing mental health challenges and addictions.**

**In your role as a residential support worker, you will have the opportunity to show off your passion for serving others and supporting the organization execute its mandate, goals, and special projects.**

**Primary responsibilities**
- We are looking for a reliable and experienced residential support worker with strong housekeeping skills. Meal preparation skills are an asset for this position. We prefer someone with previous experience and a positive attitude.
- Provide emotional and behavioral support to clients with a range of mental health and addiction challenges
- Provide support to adults clients of all ages in their daily living routines in various community settings
- Facilitate wellness and recreational activities to support the wellbeing of a diverse clientele in various community settings
- Execute tasks aligned with company’s policies and procedures
- May be assigned other duties as required

**Minimum qualifications and skills**
- Community support worker or health care aide certification or equivalent is an asset
- Experience with mental health and/ or addictions is an asset
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the technical details important to the functioning of supportive housing programs
- At least 1 year of experience working with vulnerable youths/ adults/ seniors and of diverse background (required)
- Experience working with individuals at risk/ experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, addictions, chronic illnesses, trauma, or in vulnerable circumstances (required)
- Competence working with computers
- Updated First Aid/ CPR (required)
- Medication certificate/ training (required)
- Non-violent crisis intervention training desirable
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
- Knowledge of harm reduction
- Knowledge of Mental Health First Aid
- Knowledge of WHIMIS
- Knowledge of Food Safety Basics
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultural diversity and Canadian multicultural context, LGBTQ2S competent
- Knowledge of community resources
- Clear police check for the vulnerable sector (required)
- Recent negative TB test and updated immunizations preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
