Tour Bus Driver

**VANOUTDOORS (VOS) JOB POSTING**

**Position Title**: Driver for summer camp

**Employment Contract Dates**:August 2-8, 2023, 7 days

**Posting Date**: July 18, 2023

**Salary**:$200 day

**Location**: Squamish BC

**About Us**:
The Vanoutdoors Society (VOS) provides young people with unique outdoor experiential education opportunities. A large proportion of the participants come from Chinese and international cultural backgrounds. Our aim is to inspire youth to learn about and explore B.C.’s beautiful outdoors and wilderness. While additionally becoming aware, skilled and knowledgeable in wilderness conservation, environmental stewardship and cross-cultural competence.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
i. Safety and walk around check of vehicles before use

ii. Safety and well-being of all participants. Application and achievement of VOS risk management and program plans, policies and procedures.

iii. Driving and operation of VOS vehicles

iv. Duties and drives as scheduled and assigned by VOS Supervisors and Managers.

v. Operation of 24 passenger tour bus and smaller vehicles

vi. Driving drop offs and pick ups in the mornings and afternoons at various locations,
between Vancouver and Whistler.

**Qualifications**:
Class 4 drivers licence or other BC licence, that qualifies to drive a 24 passenger tour bus.

Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Squamish, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 4 or above BC Driver's License (required)
