This position has a diverse range of responsibilities, including assisting with the medical care of raptors, working with our resident rescue parrots, and other general husbandry duties.

**Daily tasks would include**:

- Day to day care of rescued parrots (all aspects);
- Reporting and paperwork related to rehabilitation and medical care
- Daily care, treatment, and cleaning of rehabilitation patients & facility
- Assistance in education of the public on raptors, rehabilitation and environmental protection
- Positive and energetic demeanor
- Experience with animal or wildlife medicine.
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and self-direction skills.
- Solid computer literacy.

**Additional Qualifications include**:

- First aid training
- Educational experience
- Experience with grant writing.
- Database management skills.
- Animal training experience (esp. avian training)

This is a seasonal position, with both full and part-time work available. Wages start at $17/hour.

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour
