We currently have an open position for a Marketing Consultant to support the Digital Marketing team with McDelivery, Contests & Partnerships/Sponsorships in the Toronto Office. Working under the supervision of a Sr. Category Manager, the Digital Marketing Consultant will be responsible for the growth of the portfolios through a deep understanding of consumers and the competitive landscape. From a thorough analysis of consumer research and business insights, this role will lead the development and implementation of consumer driven initiatives to deliver impactful Marketing programs, leaning into data-driven methodologies.

The McDelivery business, which represents a digital business growth priority for McDonald’s - In this role the Digital Marketing Consultant will work directly with our delivery partners Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, Door Dash and a key lead in our own McDelivery MMA app to launch campaigns and promotions to drive the business.
**Principle responsibilities include**:
- In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:_
- Assist the Sr. Category Manager for **McDelivery, Contests & Partnerships/Sponsorships** campaigns; responsible for facilitating and influencing the cross-functional team project development process (agencies, regional marketing, advertising, legal, etc.) and managing the collaborative process to ensure initiatives are on strategy, approved by all stakeholders and within required timelines
- Leads the McDelivery calendar updates and required to input all delivery partner offers in the working files on an on-going basis
- Supports Supply Chain by sending forecasting updates on delivery offers to ensure inventory is met for campaign development
- In charge of updating and sharing all 3PO offer communication to the system on the company Intranet - atMCD (i.e. revised offer calendars, upcoming promotions, forecasting).
- Strategic support for advertising campaigns; supporting the development of communication briefs and cross-functional briefing presentations with creative thinking and providing strategic feedback on advertising campaigns.
- Supporting the strategic planning, project management, and execution of national marketing campaigns relating to McDelivery and promotions
- Assists in managing the McDelivery business and partner relationships across Uber Eats, Skip The Dishes, and DoorDash (weekly connect calls)
- Helps support the development of the annual Monopoly promotion from creative development (brief) to campaign execution (working with Operations, agency partners, etc).
- Work with Consumer and Business Insights teams to understand category opportunities, consumer needs, and identify opportunities to drive sales and visits.
- Liaison with cross-functional teams (Delivery, Marketing, Technology, Menu, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal) to ensure that information provided in marketing briefs is accurate and reliable.
- Responsible for developing communication for the field to ensure proper understanding of marketing promotions and flawless execution; includes developing content and presenting on Restaurant Operations Webcasts, developing content for internal website with promotional information, and utilizing internal communication tools to communicate to the field in a timely manner.
- Undergraduate Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
- 1-3 years’ of marketing experience in consumer retail or service marketing.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to assimilate a large amount of information for purposes of identifying value-added observations.
- Public speaking skills, must be comfortable giving presentations and talking in front of a crowd.
- Strong communication skills to act as a liaison, work effectively, and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Customer mindset, with experience with consumer research tools (i.e. Nielsen and/or NPD)
- Well organized, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at any given time, with tight deadlines - while still maintaining a high level of execution.
- Ability to develop comprehensive marketing briefs for agency partners and/or planning documents for internal stakeholders.
- Digital and social media savvy.
