******CADTH is Canada’s drug and health technology agency. We’re a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Ottawa, with a satellite office in Toronto. We’re funded by Canada’s federal, provincial, and territorial governments to provide independent information and advice to the country’s publicly funded health care systems. Health administrators and policy experts rely on CADTH to inform their decisions about the funding and appropriate use of the drugs, devices, and services used to prevent, diagnose, and treat medical conditions.

**Primary Focus**
Healthcare systems are facing unprecedented change and opportunity, and CADTH is uniquely positioned to help. In addition to providing products and services to answer the questions of today and the problems of tomorrow, the Regional Lead establishes and maintains invaluable connections in assigned Canadian jurisdictions. The Regional Lead contributes to the successful implementation of CADTH’s strategic plan and annual business plan by developing robust relationships with senior decision makers; developing a deep understanding of the priorities, opportunities and challenges facing health systems, and by bringing insight from assigned jurisdictions into the organization. This trusted circle ensures CADTH’s focus and resourcing align with health systems need and opportunity.

**On any given day, the Regional Lead, Central will**:

- Establish and maintain relationships with a network of key senior decision makers in assigned jurisdictions who oversee or who are involved in decisions about the system wide implementation, use, funding or reimbursement and real-world evaluation of health technologies including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, etc.
- Create, implement, and evaluate mechanisms to identify, confirm and monitor jurisdictional health system priorities that relate to the implementation, use, funding or reimbursement and real-world evaluation of health technologies including those already in use and where health technologies could be a future solution to an emerging challenge or opportunity.
- Promote awareness and support use of CADTH products and services by senior decision-makers and leaders with a focus on contributing to the realization of outcomes/impact on key jurisdictional health system priorities.
- Develop and implement strategies, approaches, and methods of communication between and with senior health decision makers to support the sharing of knowledge and experience related to the implementation, use, funding or reimbursement and real-world evaluation of health technologies that have been or are eligible for CADTH review.
- Facilitate timely and efficient submission of qualified customer requests for CADTH’s products and services to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Identify, validate, and consult when applicable on needed improvements in CADTH processes based on customer experiences and understanding of the impact of CADTH’s work.
- Find and leverage opportunities to extend reach and broaden the impact of CADTH’s work.
- Leverage the strengths and efforts of other pan-Canadian health organizations and Federal, Provincial, Territorial governments where applicable to address decision-maker priorities and requests.
- Support health system leaders’ knowledge share around common system challenges and objectives to support identification of jurisdictional needs and priorities and/or promote use of CADTH products and services; working with other internal stakeholders to convene relevant decision-makers and leaders as required.
- Facilitate the collection of qualitative and quantitative evidence about the impact of CADTH’s products and services on decision making, including individualized follow up for key products or initiatives, to support CADTH’s impact and performance measurement reporting.

**The Regional Lead, Central will likely have**:

- Completion of post secondary education in a relevant area such as Health Administration, Health Information or Public Administration coupled with related progressive health system experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of jurisdictional health system structures and decision-making processes.
- Ability to translate and disseminate information provided by external customers to practical, actionable advice for CADTH to address.
- Strategically focused, relationship driven and able to search out and find opportunity in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities to establish and strengthen relationships with jurisdictional senior level decision makers.
