The Vancouver Prostate Centre (VPC) has an exceptional opportunity available for a **regular, fulltime Program Coordinator **to join our Prostate Cancer Supportive Care (PCSC) team.

**_As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required._**

**Responsibilities**

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the PCSC program and provides support to the Program Manager, members of the PCSC team and collaborators.
This will include:

- Attend evening education sessions monthly to welcome patients, take attendance, answer patient questions and present the content of the module
- Responsible for data entry and tracking patients in PCSC program in a central database. Work with Program Manager to assist with ongoing improvements and maintenance of central database.
- Lead monthly team meetings to discuss updates across all modules of program and update staff on any ongoing and upcoming projects.
- The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for preparing content for several monthly program newsletters, keeping program web page up-to-date and developing/maintaining promotional material for program as necessary.
- Covers Medical Office Assistant when on vacation or absent.
- Plan and organizes annual Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Conference and medical education conferences.
- Conducts outreach in community to advertise and promote program. Will require travel at times.
- Assist Provincial Program Manager with provincial expansion of the PCSC Program including training and mentoring Program Coordinators across BC.
- Attends Provincial Working Group meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree, Life Sciences or Psychology. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum four years relevant research and administrative experience, preferably in a psychosocial/biomedical area
- Solid communication skills, with demonstrated expertise communicating with patients in a professional manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality essential.
- Computer literate, including solid Microsoft Office skills and database expertise. Experience using EMR software preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under time pressures to meet deadlines and handle interruptions and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated initiative and willing to learn
- Willing and able to work evenings as required

**Compensation**
The salary range for this position is $50,830.74 - $73,068.42 per annum, plus benefits. Initial placement is dependent upon education and experience.
