**Job Summary**
- Falling under the portfolio of the Vice Provost, Equity and Inclusion, and reporting to the Director of Human Rights and Equity Services (HRES), the Education Advisor is a specialist resource with expertise in diversity, accessibility and inclusion, mandated to oversee the coordination and delivery of educational programming, events and initiatives related to all areas of work covered by HRES.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assume a lead role in developing and coordinating education and outreach initiatives, aimed at fostering a climate of respect and inclusiveness, including campaigns, events and educational tools.
- Serve as the lead on the strategic education/outreach plan for HRES.
- Coordinate the development of video and in-person education modules on topics such as Discrimination, Racialized Violence, Personal Harassment & Conflict, Sexualized Violence & Consent, Equity & Inclusion, Accommodation & Accessibility, etc. Identify opportunities to incorporate technology in the delivery of education and training.
- Support the mission of the Office of Equity & Inclusion through sharing of expertise and advice on individual and institutional matters, and develop new education programming when appropriate.

**Note**
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as human rights, law, education, public relations, communications, or marketing plus approximately three to five years’ related experience working with issues falling within the mandate of the office in an education environment, specifically, anti-racism, sexualized violence, equity, diversity, inclusion, harassment & conflict management (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and strong facilitation skills.
- Must have the ability to effectively deal with confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills.

- Knowledge of or experience in a post-secondary institution (or similar complex organization).
