**Primary Responsibilities/Duties**:
a) Review drawings and specifications with Project Manager and Superintendent prior to starting project.

b) Review tender information with Project Manager and Superintendent prior to starting project.

c) Review site in comparison to drawings to ensure understanding of work as it relates to site conditions.

d) Record the conditions of the site prior to project start up ( ie photos and videos)

e) Coordinate with Superintendent to schedule proper resources to site including material deliveries, directional drilling services and hydrovac services.

f) Coordinate the daily tasks of crew to ensure work is being completed to the drawings and specifications.

g) Coordinate the daily tasks of crew to ensure maximum production while meeting schedules.

h) Ensure that equipment and small tools are being maintained while on site.

i) Maintains a positive safety culture on projects and manages a safe workplace.

j) Responsible for job site inspections, safe work observations and toolbox meetings (Daily Safe work Permit).

k) Assist Project Manager with tracking of pay quantities.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum five (5) years-experience in a similar or lead-hand position
- Strong work ethic and be consistently punctual
- Able to work longer days as required
- Ability to travel where projects dictate
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong initiative in the position
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members including the written and spoken word.
- Able to multi-task and oversee multiple concurrent projects
- Class 5 license - clear driver’s abstract
- Basic computer skills
- Criminal Background Check as required for secure sites

**Preferred Qualifications/Assets**:

- Relevant experience in the Utilities installation industry
- Demonstrated knowledge in:

- Vehicle maintenance
- Heavy equipment maintenance
- Electrical repairs
- Class 3 w/ Air
- Directional drilling experience
- Conduit plowing experience

*Company vehicle will be provided

**Hours of Work**: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm _(depending upon project demands and workload)_

**Hour Wage Range**: $31.00 - $36.00
