**Position Title: Project Manager - IT**
**Team and Location: IT - Calgary, AB or remote office across North America with travel as required.**
**Position Summary**:
The Project Manager, reporting into the PMO, oversees all aspects of assigned IT projects; assigned projects will be focused on cyber security and IT infrastructure and operations. They will be responsible for managing the end to end project lifecycle from concept and design / development, through to implementation and close out. Using their excellent facilitation skills to run effective meetings, proficient communications and their passion for client satisfaction, the Project Manager will have an opportunity to impact many high-profile projects to Parkland’s future. Typically, they will be responsible for more than one project at a time with capital expenditure of $1M-$5M total expenditure per year.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Project Delivery
- Ensures that programs and projects are delivered on-time, within budget and to acceptable quality standards, using defined methodology, tools and templates.
- Sets up and manages the various governance forums necessary to ensure that stakeholders are informed, and decision-making mechanisms are effective on their projects.
- Works with stakeholders across the business to manage and unblock project risks, and report up those risks to project / program levels of steering committee.
- Play a role in development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets, including regular reforecasting of both against baseline.
- Maintain resourcing elements of the project, including regular time sheets and labor capitalization.
- Maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting activities for project (e.g. status, risks / issues, OPEX expenses etc.).
- Manage non-IT elements of projects such as process change, organizational change management and communications - working closely with other teams across Parkland.
- Maintain 3rd party vendor relationships as they pertain to project delivery.
Team Leadership
- Highly customer-focused both within their project teams, outward to other business stakeholders and upward to senior leaders across the business.
- Provides guidance within project team and mentorship to more junior Project Managers.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in relevant field (e.g. computer science, engineering / operations, business etc.).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years program/project management experience.
- Experience in delivering information technology projects.
- Experience in leading a geographically distributed team.
- Understands and has worked within the energy and fuel marketing sector.
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies associated with IT.
- Project and Program Management (PPM) and the associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches (e.g. PMBOK, Lean, and Agile processes; change management etc.).
- Awareness of cyber security technologies and impacts to the IT environment.
- Analytical problem-solving ability for dealing with escalated issues arising from projects.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills across various programs including but not limited to the Office365 suite.

- Effective in mentoring, coaching and transferring expertise to others.
- Effectively multi-tasks.
- Effectively builds a strong network and relationship at all levels, both internally and externally.
