Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent Project Management certification
**Experience**:
- 10-15 years Oil and Gas industry experience with a minimum 5 years of facility project management experience preferably within brownfield operating facilities
**Skills**:
- Good knowledge and experience on project design, engineering, procurement, material management, construction, commissioning, start up, turn over work processes, sequencing, and interface
- Knowledgeable in ASME B31.3, ABSA regulations
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Superior EH&S and Compliance Performance
- Consistently perform responsibilities and duties to Inter Pipeline’s Core Values and EH&S Policy, Values and Commitment statement.
- Ensure that work is completed in compliance with all applicable operating or industry standards, codes, rules, regulations, and Inter Pipeline standards that impact capital projects.
Project Engineering and Management
- Utilize key project management systems such as PDI for all projects
- Ensuring project adherence to the PDI process through review and endorsement or approval of documents as per the PDI Interaction Matrix
- Develop and manage adherence to the Project Execution Plan and Construction Execution Plan for each project
- Preparation and presentation of PDI phase gates to IPL management
- Providing leadership to multidiscipline project teams
- Initiation, review and approval of Purchase Orders and Contracts as appropriate to meet project objectives
- Ensuring that contracts or agreements are in place prior to execution of any work
- Ensuring that all internal IPL groups are appropriately involved throughout the project
- Ensuring that all Land, Regulatory, and Environmental requirements are outlined and appropriately managed through the project life cycle
- Developing and approving project critical spare plans
- Ensuring that commissioning and hand-over of projects from Project Development to Field Operations is performed seamlessly
- Ensuring that project documentation is properly filed and stored throughout all stages of a project
- Ensuring that Project Development group objectives are met and sustained
- Ensure that a project schedule is produced and managed throughout the project life cycle
Budgeting and Cost Control
- Managing the overall AFE process of a project to ensure financial compliance
- Ensure all spending is in accordance with established authorities
- Review and provide input to Project Cost Control Specialist in regularly scheduled meetings related to project status, procurement updates, and project forecast costs
- Reviewing and facilitating approval for all project scope changes ensuring that the principle of lowest life-cycle cost management is applied while adhering to applicable Project Management of Change procedures
Hours:
Full Time, Monday - Friday
Position is based in Calgary however some site visits may be required within Alberta.
