Dental Sterilization Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of dental equipment and instruments. Your attention to detail and adherence to proper sterilization procedures will contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.
**Duties**:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols
- Operate autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilization equipment
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Assist in inventory management by organizing and restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of sterile items
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in sterile processing preferred
- Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician or in a related role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical imaging, X-Ray procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology is a plus
- Familiarity with infection control practices and protocols
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
