Job Summary:
The job requires a Dispensing Audiologist who will assess hearing, select/recommend hearing instruments when appropriate (and/or refer when appropriate). The clinician will also provide dispensing services which includes verifying and validating hearing instrument performance.

**Duties**:
All tasks/procedures related to assessment of hearing for the purpose of dispensing hearing aids (including history taking, air and bone conduction thresholds, speech testing, etc.).All tasks/procedures related to the dispensing of hearing aids (including hearing aid evaluations, recommendations, fitting, verification, validation, impression taking, shell repair and modification).Adhere to all infection control and privacy and confidentiality standards.Maintain appropriate and complete records and documentation.Knowledgeable about all products and services related to the hearing centre.Committed to providing the highest level of member service.Escorts patients into the hearing testing facility and opens/closes doors when required.Works collaboratively with support personnel to ensure appropriate allocation of work tasks.

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to audiology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages
- Proficient in conducting audiological evaluations and interpreting test results
- Familiarity with a variety of diagnostic equipment and software programs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Qualifications:

- Experience: Clinical experience is preferred.
- Education/Training: Minimum of Master's Degree in Audiology with all qualifications to dispense hearing aids in your province.
- Licenses/Certification: Registered (or eligible for registration) with CASLPO. Authorized (or eligible) to provide government funded services through the Assistive Devices Program.
- Knowledge/Skills: Attention to detail and technical aptitude. Strong organization and time management. Excellent communication and counselling skills. Strong computer skills
