Production Manager

**JBS Equipment** is a rapidly growing agricultural equipment manufacturing company based in beautiful **Mission, BC**. We recently moved into our latest custom-built facility that has allowed our production capacity to nearly triple.
The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating the manufacturing of equipment within established design, quality, and scheduling requirements. You must have experience in maintaining schedules, strategizing, and overseeing all production activities with profitability in mind.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring key metrics are measured and on target for Safety, Quality, Productivity, On-schedule delivery, and costs
- Manage and ensure units are completed according to schedule timeline
- Ensure units are all completed within company quality expectations
- Implement lean manufacturing processes to improve shop performance efficiency and automation
- Develop and Enhance safety procedures to create a safe work environment for your employees
- Manage a team of 50+ fabricators, welders, assemblers and ensure that they are fully trained, tooled, and supported to meet production targets
- Find ways to maximize production within limitations of personnel, equipment, and space
- Be an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Communicate with other departments about needs of the production department
- Regularly is on the factory floor to support your team and audit the product that is being produced
- Assist shop foremen in employee reviews and disciplinary action for shop personnel
- Train, mentor and complete employee reviews for shop foremen, direct reports and senior staff members
**Position Requirements**:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a fabrication and welding environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proven track record of leading large teams
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset
- 10 Years of working hands on in fabrication/welding
- Able to proficiently use all fabricating and welding equipment
- Able to proficiently read and interpret blueprints/drawings
- Intermediate general computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and outlook are an asset)

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
