**Job Description** How You'll Make an Impact**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department
- Lead, motivate, and supervise front line employees to ensure required work is completed to standards efficiently, on time and within budget
- Participate in hiring and training of staff, performance management, and employee development
- Create and maintain staff schedules, process payroll, oversee attendance management
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to safety compliance, including timely reporting
- Provide feedback and recommendations regarding work routines and staffing levels
- Ensure adherence to established materials and labour budget targets, Sodexo and regulatory standards and client expectations
- Maintain supplies to ensure adequate levels, distribute chemicals and consumables, monitor and report on inventory levels as required
- Maintain customer/client satisfaction, manage escalations, and resolve issues as required

**Qualifications** What You'll Need to Succeed**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in materials management, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting
- 1+ year leadership experience
- Experience leading in a unionized environment
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to Health and Safety
- Commitment to customer experience, client relations and service excellence
- Experience working with labour management systems an asset
- Experience with employee training, performance management, recognition, development
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
