**Banquet Houseperson**
The Banquet Houseperson ensures the set ups and teardowns of all function rooms and conference space is done to a standard which meets and exceeds guests’ expectations in a professional, safe and efficient manner while providing exceptional service to guests as required. **What you will be doing**:

- Demonstrates Accor Service Promise Standards and Values in all interactions with both guests and colleagues.
- Maintains uniform and adheres to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts grooming standards.
- Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation.
- Set, serve, and clear all assigned types of F&B functions while adhering to all Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Banquet Brand Standards.
- Serves in banquet functions as required.
- Adheres to hotel’s allergy policy and ensures allergy policies are adhered to by colleagues.
- Maintains supplies and reports any shortages or deficiencies for all server equipment and supplies.
- Ensures all work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner free from all potential hazards.
- Participates in regularly scheduled departmental communication meetings.
- Follow proper radio etiquette.
- Maintains all banquet facilities, storage areas and banquet equipment in an orderly and safe manner.
- Attends shift briefings and completes Banquet standard of the day.
- Adheres to Health & Safety policy and ensures safe work practices are followed at all times.
- Adheres to hotel’s environmental policies and Planet 21 initiatives.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

**Your experience and skills include**:

- Previous experience in a similar size and fast-paced convention/Banquets facility is an asset.
- Must possess outstanding guest service skills with professional presentation.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with keen attention to guest requirements.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Self-motivated.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible with hours of work, including evenings and weekends. Able to work a variety of shifts.
- Must be physically fit in order to lift items weighing up to 10 kg.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must have excellent English communication skills (written, verbal and comprehension). Fluency in a second language as it relates to the hospitality industry is an asset.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $13.55-$18.08 per hour
