Riverbend Co-op is looking for a Fresh Department Operator to join our team at our Davidson food store location. We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, and energetic individual who will be involved in all aspects of the fresh departments including: recruitment, training and development and performance management, procurement of product, rotation of goods and inventory.

**What you’ll do**:

- Demonstrate day to day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen our Co-op’s vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
- Provide prompt, personalized, legendary service to all our members and guests both in-store and over the phone.
- Ensure that all members and guests are completely satisfied with their in-store experience.
- Proactively recruiting high-quality employees and lead orientation practices and ensure the administration of human resources policies to develop positive relationships with all employees.
- Actively change marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards, and contribute input to business unit strategies and goals.
- Help develop quality team training and succession plans.
- Support the team leaders annual operating budget for the Davidson Food Store fresh departments that supports the corporate goals.
- Provide direction and oversight to the fresh department teams through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Grow current customer base, through implementing new programs, and overall customer experience.
- Assist in projects outlined within the Business Unit Strategy
- Lead a culture of safety through the adherence to company standards for health & safety, loss prevention and environmental due diligence.

**Who you are**:
You are looking for a career in Customer Service and:

- Possess 3-5 years of experience in management in a retail environment, including supervisory experience.
- Retail experience in the areas of member relations, selling, OHS, ordering, receiving, and asset maintenance and management.
- A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, priorities, and execution skills
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary.
- Ability to fulfil physical job requirements including manual labour.
- Experience in retail sales especially in the CRS will be considered an asset
