Reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Management and the Senior Director of Development, the Assistant Dean, Advancement works collaboratively with the Dean and other Faculty of Management leaders, including Associate Deans, Alumni and External Relations, Career Services and Employer Relations, and Communications and Marketing, and the University Advancement Office to build and advance strong personal and professional relationships in support of Faculty of Management advancement and fundraising goals.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Works with the Dean and other faculty-based leaders to establish fundraising priorities for the Faculty of Management. Establishes and evaluates annual fundraising targets and operational plans.
- Liaises with the Vice-President and Associate Vice-President, Advancement and other university leaders to determine common objectives relating to campaigns and other major initiatives.
- Identify, qualify, engage and cultivate prospective donors and solicit major gifts.
- Ensures that donor recognition strategies and programs are in place to maintain and grow excellent relations with the Faculty’s supporters.
- Leads the engagement between donors and faculty academic leaders by matching donor interests with Faculty of Management priorities. Provides coaching, leadership and support to engage faculty members in strategic fundraising activities.
- Collaborates with the University Advancement Office on prospect identification, writing projects, and stewardship, as well as on other Advancement portfolios, such as annual fund, class giving and planned giving.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree plus a minimum of five years’ relevant experience leading complex projects in the area of fundraising, financial services, sales, or business development (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Exceptional communication skills; proven ability to prepare polished, relevant, and compelling presentations, reports, briefs, and other written materials.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; proven ability to establish trust, rapport, and credibility with diverse constituencies; evidence of continuous learning, self-reflection, and humility regarding effective communication across cultures.

**Assets**
- Experience in major gift fundraising and a track record of successfully closing major gifts.
