**About This Role**:
Arbor is hiring for Funeral Directors in Ontario. Reporting to the Funeral Home Manager and following Company guidelines and standards, the Funeral Director is responsible for overseeing funerals, ensuring the facility and vehicles are in pristine condition, performing decedent embalming and preparation and providing assistance during the execution of funeral services.

**Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities**:

- Possesses a Funeral Directors license and 2+ years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director. Displays proven arrangement and directing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Everyday Excellence and Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
- Demonstrates active community involvement and establishes a positive profile of the Funeral Home within the community.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistent high level of accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- A valid driver’s license is a mandatory requirement for this position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides support to the bereaved during the initial stages of grief.
- Arranges and directs creative and memorable funeral ceremonies.
- Arranges the transfer of the decedent from the place of death
- Secures information for legal documents and files death certificates and other legal documentation.
- Provides access to grief support groups in order to assist individuals who are adapting to changes in their lives following a death.
- Performs general building upkeep and ensures the proper maintenance of funeral service vehicles; including washing, interior care, polishing, and regular scheduled vehicle maintenance.
- Uploads funeral service information to website and Sharing Memories.
- Manages approvals for online condolences for existing memorials.
- Utilizes Sharing Memories in order to set up charitable donations.
- Prepares final account, invoices and maintains accounts receivables.
- Completes Credit Bureau cancellation when applicable.
- Finalizes aftercare package and provides a copy to the Cemetery or Pre-Planning Director. This includes but is not be limited to CPP Death Benefit, CPP Survivor Benefits, Long Term Care Change of Information, Notice of Notification of Death and Social Insurance Cancellation forms.
- May be required to work outside of regular business hours.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
