Front desk Agent in Best Western Premier, Prince Albert.
Reports to: Front Desk Manager
Department: Front Desk
Purpose of Job: Responsible for setting the standard of expectations of the customers and guests for the duration of their stay as they are the first person to meet and greet them. A smile and helping hands are what our Guests will experience as you personally greet them on their arrival. As a Front desk Agent with Best western Premier Hotel, Prince Albert, your knowledge of the hotel and the professionalism you display will create a sense of “welcome” like no other
**Responsibilities**:
Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
Answer enquiries regarding hotel services and registration by letter, by telephone and in person, provide information about services available in the community and respond to guests' complaints
Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized or manual systems
Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment
Handle & coordinate room assignments and pre-arrivals
Handle guests’ concerns
Offer referral for services and handle requests for information
Handle and store luggage
Assist with the check-in and check-out of groups and tours
Assist other departments as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A secondary school diploma is required
Post-secondary training in tourism or hotel management is an asset
Excellent communication skills
Professional attitude
Good organizational skills
Effective conflict management and decision-making
Previous experience in customer service is an asset
Cash handling experience is an asset
Administrative skills
Time management skills
