GrandBridge Energy is recruiting for a qualified Journeyperson Powerline Technician who will report to our North Operations Centre in Cambridge.
**Major Job Duties**:
- Proficient with the construction of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Possess technical knowledge on the operation of the electrical distribution system, as well as the electrical equipment and mapping that comprises the electrical system.
- Experienced in the troubleshooting and repair of the electrical distribution system.
- Competent with all aspects of the loading and operating requirements for digger and aerial device trucks, as well as associated rigging techniques.
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment that includes heavy lifting, stretching, and pulling, climbing, working at heights and extreme weather conditions.
- Perform regular stand-by duties (on-call) and assist with emergency callouts as required.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture by fostering collaboration, maintaining a positive attitude, supporting our customers, and contributing to a respectful and inclusive environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Journeyperson status as a Powerline Technician, Red Seal Certification is not a condition of hire but is required to reach top rate of the position.
- Valid driver’s record in good standing, preferably a DZ licence or Restricted AZ licence. If you do not hold a AZR licence, you must be willing to obtain it within your first eighteen months of employment.
- Must be able to respond to our service center within 30 minutes to meet on call requirements.
