**Summary**

The current opportunity is a permanent, full-time Solar Advisor (Sales Consultant) role for residential and commercial installations around Guelph and the surrounding areas.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Information gathering with prospective clients.
- Educating prospects about the benefits of solar and the solar installation process.
- Designing solar energy systems and calculating cost savings estimates.
- Delivering screen-share consultations, presenting proposals, and answering questions.
- Following up with prospective clients and closing the sale.
- Organizing and attending customer site visits to determine the electrical and space requirements needed for the solar installation.
- Once the sale has been made, the Solar Advisor will maintain regular contact with his or her clients throughout the 3-6 month installation process to ensure they have a fantastic experience and their expectations are exceeded.
- Managing your day-to-day schedule.
- Meeting or exceeding individual sales targets.
- Continuous self-engagement in new technology and changes within the market.
- Most of your sales opportunities will be provided to you from inbound leads, self-generated leads are a bonus and will be eligible for referral bonuses. You will also be responsible for reaching out to prospects that requested information at an earlier date but didn’t end up going solar just yet.

- Strong problem-solving, time management, and listening skills.
- Ability to communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner.
- Excellent organizational abilities to maintain communication and follow-up in a timely manner with prospects and clients.
- Enjoy working independently, as well as in a team environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, particularly when designing solar arrays.
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and willing to learn and follow instructions.
- Able to have fun while staying focused on completing your tasks.
- Take pride in doing quality work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
- Strong computer skills, able to learn new programs.
- Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle.

**The following skills and qualifications would be an asset**:

- A basic understanding of home electrical equipment.
- A basic understanding of home construction methods.
