Accounting Technician

**During March-April, there is a requirement to work extended hours (8 hours per week) for ~7 weeks due to increased client demands during tax season.**

**As an Accounting Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities could include**:

- Preparing Notice to Reader and Review Engagement financial statements
- Preparing T1 and T2 tax returns
- Occasional bookkeeping duties
- Researching tax/accounting issues
- Following up on Notices of Assessment
- Responding to CRA requests for information on clients' behalf
- Client management, including answering questions and gathering/clarifying information

**If you are the right person for this role, you likely have**:

- 3 or more years of experience in public practice (specifically in corporate tax)
- Excellent computer skills
- Full proficiency with CaseWare (CaseView) and ProFile tax software
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, and Doc.It
- A diploma or degree in accounting
