Two Small Men with Big Hearts is looking for a Dispatch Manager that will share managing the daily operational activities of our Winnipeg location. The mandate of this role is to drive operational excellence and performance to achieve all targets, metrics, objectives and goals and retain and manage an extraordinary crew. The Dispatch Manager works closely with owners, drivers, helpers, sales team members, and customers to supply world class, on-time, moving services

**This is a rotation role of 4-days on and 4 days off.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Safety Leadership_
- Lead the business with the utmost focus on complying with Safety Management System (SMS) procedures
- Manage SMS responsibilities in accordance with the Company Safety Management Systems Manual
- Provide visible and felt health & safety leadership
- Develop a high degree of safety awareness among all employees motivate employees to think, act and work safely
- Operational Performance_
- Front line interfacing with customers to receive and schedule moving and delivery service
- Manage service coordination and crew in HubSpot
- Issuing purchase orders for services and confirming completion of work with clients
- Review and analyze process workflow and resources to identify trends and process improvement opportunities
- Troubleshoot, when needed, when variations occur during the delivery/pick up plan
- Manage performance against goals and provide feedback, training, and ensure all employees have the necessary tools and resources to be successful at their jobs
- Maintenance Management_
- Comply with the company’s maintenance policies, procedures and training
- Schedule maintenance, including preventative, annual and other maintenance as required
- Comply with maintenance procedures as it relates to document retention and GEOTAB policies
- Ensure that documentation, repairs, and maintenance is conducted within the National Safety Code requirements
- Recruitment & Crew Management_
- Manage the hiring process including interviews and offers
- Effectively lead and develop the workforce including, coaching, building team morale, and performance management

**Qualifications & Skills**
- 2+ years of previous dispatch experience, preferably within the transportation industry
- 2+ years of operations expertise, such as managing and scheduling crews, service coordination and communicating with customers would be an asset
- A strong understanding of transportation regulations and standards
- Previous experience with safety compliance and standards
- Recruiting experience to maintain an excellent roster of drivers and helpers that demonstrate our core values
- The ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions within guidelines to meet deadlines and maximize budget and customer satisfaction
- Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team
- Ability to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employees
- Demonstrated ability to build professional rapport, effectively lead a team and positively influence diverse groups
- Customer service skills necessary to effectively and professionally respond to requests and issues verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences and ability to effectively provide employees instruction on process and practice

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27,678.32-$61,124.12 per year
