Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Claims Learning & Development Manager. Reporting to the Head of Claims, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical and other training content to members of the Claims team. In addition to these responsibilities, you will provide day to day management of, leadership, professional development, coaching, and technical direction to a team of a team of technical professionals who are part of our Claims Trainee Program.

What you will do
- Responsible for planning related to training, developing training content/material, and conducting classroom/virtual training courses
- Adapt training materials to learners' needs and styles and adjust programs based on changing needs.
- Provides input or feedback for course improvement
- Answers trainee questions during the training to enhance the learning experience
- Prepares summary assessments for management identifying learning trends
- Convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner
- Troubleshoot claims-related issues and provide effective solutions
Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table
**Required**:
- Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Learning and Development Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Delivery area, specific to insurance
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Learning and Development Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Delivery area
OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Learning and Development Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Delivery area
AND
- 6 or more years of people management experience
- Experience consulting with business partners or clients
- Experience performance consulting or human performance
**Preferred**:
- Strong project management skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Effective communication and influence skills
- Strong technical writing and editing skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Word and Excel skills
- Previous Claims experience required
- Experience in vendor management recommended
- Knowledge of learning management systems
