Independent Concrete Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our Team as an Operations Supervisor, supervising a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, responsible for the successful operation of our Ready-Mix Concrete facility. Acts as an expert on all production & delivery equipment as well as plant operating and dispatch systems. Provides support in production and delivery to ensure Customers receive quality products and excellent service.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to**:

- Stakeholder Relations - build, maintain and have excellent interaction with our suppliers, production personnel, drivers, and colleagues. Promote and maintain a TEAM environment.
- Supervise day-to-day operations and monitor driving/operations staff, plant & mobile equipment activities/inspections to include maintenance of equipment.
- Acts as a go-to resource for troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, maintenance, coordinating maintenance with external providers and other special needs.
- Supervise Batch/Dispatch, RMX Drivers and Yard Staff. Coach, train & mentor employees on the safe and efficient method of operating and maintaining equipment to continually improve operational performance & standards. Motivates employees and builds effective teams.
- Assist in Quality Control activities.
- Contribute to cost controls.
- Assisting in recommendations for workforce planning, scheduling, hiring, training, development, work allocation, conflict resolution, performance evaluations and discipline.
- Assist in purchasing and inventory management of raw materials and value-added products.
- Safety/Environment - Promote and ensure a safe workplace for all personnel working at or visiting the facility. Conduct safety meetings and inspections. Implement and enforce safety and environmental compliance requirements and initiatives. Identify & coordinate required training. Assist in incident investigations and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Support and assist personnel in achieving timely and efficient production.
- Continuously look for industry best practices and technology to identify more cost-effective and efficient operating procedures.
- Act as a Project Manager on key product line initiatives around safety, environmental, compliance, efficiency, maintenance, quality, product development, growth and innovation projects.
- Works closely with Sales and Dispatch to understand Customer requirements and to effectively communicate the ability to meet the requirements based on available resources.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- 3-5 years’ experience directly related to this type of role.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Able to multi-task and maintain composure in busy environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Strong organization, time management and planning skills.
- Sound knowledge of Transportation, OH&S, WorkSafe and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Class 1 or 3 Drivers License.
- Excellent computer skills. Command-Alkon Dispatching/Batching Software knowledge and experience is an asset.
- Commercial Logistics knowledge
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and ability to provide Leadership.
- Self-starter, with excellent work ethic
- Leads by example.

**Salary**: From $110,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
