**The Reservations Agent** set up success for the operations team by taking care of the guests and corporate clients in advance. The Reservations Agent contributes to the success of the Hotel by performing the following duties:

- Timely and accurate entry of reservations and rooming lists.
- Maintain occupancy and average rate through control of room inventory.
- Communicate with the sales team to manage blocks, allocate room types, identify corporate VIPs and set up payment
- Reviews and update the travel agent commission statements for the major booking channels
- Maintains the reservation files ensuring pertinent information is filed.
- Checks daily for duplicate reservations/ late cancellations and NO SHOW
- Work with Sales and Front Desk team to ensure that guest information is complete and to close any open cases
- Resolve any issues that may arise with reservations (rate, billings and groups etc.)
- Upsell and promote hotel packages and deals
- Extensive knowledge of the hotel and its facilities.
- Ensure the standards are maintained at a superior level.
- Communicates clearly within the team and other departments
- Capture abnormal situations and report to Reservations Manager
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Qualification**:

- Superior communication skills in English, oral and written. Second language is an asset
- Professional competency in communication skills, computer literacy and problem-solving
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Two-year reservations/ front desk/ sales experience
- Hospitality industry courses in hotel management from a recognized institution preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to $24.50 per hour
