Reporting to the Director, Health-care Engagement and Sustainability, the Associate oversees all aspects of the Foundation’s Mid
- Level donor program and assists the Senior Development Officer Donor Relations and the Senior Development Officer Direct Response Fundraising.

Within this role, the Associate, Healthcare Engagement and Sustainability is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the UHKF strategic plan, and from time to time, the position may be required to support other areas within the Organization.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive action plan and strategies to build relationships with potential donors and motivate them to make gifts in the mid-level range of $1000 to $10,000
- Manage portfolio of 100 - 150 donors and potential donors
- Maintaining accurate records of interactions with donors and potential donors in the Foundations Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (currently Raiser’s Edge NXT)
- Liaison with a variety of stakeholders including those internal to the Foundation such as the Leadership Giving, Planned Giving, Prospect Researcher and Donor Relations teams and key contacts withing the two health-care organizations UHKF supports
- Meet and exceeds metrics tied to revenue, retention, upgrades
- Provide assistance to Senior Development Officer Donor Relations as it relates to thank you, new donor welcome packages and donor wall updates
- Provide logístical support to donor relations events
- Provide assistance to Senior Development Officer Direct Response Fundraising as it relates to monthly donor tracking and re-activation strategy
- Assist with maintaining donor solicitation codes and mailer information in the CRM
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- College diploma or undergraduate degree (preferred)
- Track record of asking for and receiving philanthropic gifts or equivalent transferable experience
- Experience working with a CRM system such as Raiser Edge is an asset
- Excellent administrative and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience working directly with volunteers and/or external partners
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing work environment.
- Occasional morning, evening and weekend work required
- Excellent organizational ability: capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, and sometimes quickly changing, environment.
- Ability to be self-directed, but able to work as part of an effective team
- Satisfactory Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector checks
- Proof of required vaccinations
