**Position and Responsibilities**

Cameco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a highly skilled group in support of the corporation’s financial reporting. Reporting to the assistant controller, you will be part of the management team that is responsible for developing, implementing and managing financial processes and controls. As part of this team, you will be involved in the preparation of the company’s consolidated financial statements and related regulatory filings. You will ensure major transactions are appropriately reflected in the financial statements. You will monitor changes in international financial reporting standards and lead the change impacts to Cameco.

This position will liaise with various departments and lead direct and/or indirect reports to ensure department results are achieved.

**Education and Qualifications**

Requirements of the position:

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field
- Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience
- Experience in a large multi-national enterprise
- Canadian Professional Accounting designation (CPA)
- Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)

Assets:

- Experience using ERP software (SAP)
- Progressive experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and disclosures
- Experience leading and mentoring professionals
- Strong leadership, communication & organizational skills
- Experience in accounting for complex transactions
- Results-oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement
