**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspection on Company Vehicles
- Attend and participate in Daily Tailboard Safety talks.
- Ensure all equipment is inspected before use daily.
- Pre-inspect Drill Shots, ensuring proper locates are on site and site is set up properly to perform the work safely
- Ability to operate all equipment functions independently and safely
- Ability to use the locate box and/or drill equipment
- Provide technical support to clients and crew members as required
- Keep up to date of all directional drilling techniques and all surveying methods
- Manage inventory and supplies
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving of loads and conduct in response to hand or audio signals from team members
- Interpret stakes and signage on the land
- Ensure all reporting requirements are fulfilled
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions included but not limited to extreme temperatures (heat and cold), rain, sleet, snow, wind, and/or wet/humid conditions
- Maintain excellent communication between members of the team and customers
- Working as a member of the team by assisting other members when required
- This position is unionized
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in horizontal drilling or related fields is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment, including graders and bulldozers.
- Ability to dig trenches and perform excavation tasks safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- A valid AZ driver's license is required; additional certifications in heavy equipment operation are a plus.
- minimum of one year experience
Pay: $34.06 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
