**Position Overview**:
The Pricing Analyst ensures accurate customer pricing while safeguarding Pratts' profitability. This role involves close collaboration with the Multi-Unit team, Category Managers, Supply Chain Planners, and Accounts Payable to maintain precise pricing strategies and vendor relationships for both Retail and National Accounts.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Contract Pricing Administration**: Manage and administer monthly contract pricing across three branches, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- **Vendor Contract Management**: Take charge of vendor contracts for all National and Retail accounts, ensuring compliance and correct and maintained customer pricing.
- **Pricing Discrepancy Resolution**: Proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies in pricing, maintaining transparency and trust with our partners.
- **Vendor and Account Relations**: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both vendors and National account personnel, fostering a collaborative environment.
- **Collaboration with Purchasing**: Work closely with the purchasing department to track and respond to cost changes affecting National Chain and Retail customers.
- **Sales Department Liaison**: Coordinate with the sales team to ensure prices are adjusted in line with market dynamics and contractual agreements.
- **Data Analysis for Pricing Adjustment**: Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions on customer pricing strategies.
- **Contract and Allowance Entry**: Accurately enter fixed dollar contracts and off-invoice allowances into our systems.
- **Customer Contract Management**: Interpret and implement customer pricing contracts, maintaining customer profitability and upholding pricing integrity.
- **Training and Development**: Provide skills training for Sales and Marketing teams on pricing strategies and tools.
**Qualifications**:
- **Multi-tasking Excellence**: Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities with precision and poise.
- **Contracting Expertise**: A solid understanding of contracting processes and systems, backed by 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- **Experience with AS400**: Practical experience with AS400, particularly in a contracting or pricing role.
- **Teamwork and Independence**: Ability to work seamlessly within a team while also thriving in autonomous work situations.
- **Strong Analytical Skills**: Both quantitative and qualitative, with the ability to mine data and drive action.
- **Effective Communication**: Clear and concise in both written and verbal communications, with a professional manner.
- **Educational Background**: Secondary education or equivalent experience, with post-secondary education in Business Administration or related program being an asset.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Power BI. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, various lookup formulas, and data visualization.
