**What You’ll Do**

The National Account Manager - RONA is the key link between Rona (the Customer) and Metrie internal teams (Retail Sales, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.) The incumbent is responsible to support the Retail Category Account Managers by developing new sales programs, liaising with Channel Marketing to develop marketing initiatives, supporting special buy processes, and managing any major projects with the Customer Home Office. They will also manage Patrick Morin and BMR.

The National Account Manager - RONA will have on-going interaction with the Customer Home Office teams and key contacts to ensure success and progress of all initiatives. Additionally, the Account Manager - RONA may support the Retail team or other cross-functional teams and projects.

**Reporting Relationship & Location**: Reporting to the Director of National Accounts. This role is based out of our Montreal Location and is hybrid. The National Account Manager - RONA will lead, support, and develop the RONA Category Management team. A core focus of the role will be aligning and collaborating with both our regional leadership teams and functional leadership teams to provide an exceptional customer experience for our largest channel partner and driving solid business results for Metrie.

**Responsibilities**
- Emphasize and strengthen our position as a long-term channel partner of the highest value by working collaboratively with all Metrie functions to ensure execution of sales and marketing initiatives for the Customer and deliver a high degree of customer service.
- Build customer intimacy through a strong understanding of Customer needs, soliciting regular feedback and supporting ongoing, proactive communication with Store Operation leadership.
- Leverage market insights to increase market share, influence preference and create demand with the Customer. Ensure alignment of strategy and business objectives with the Customer’s needs.
- Lead and coordinate execution of all sales initiatives for the Customer and track metrics for success on initiatives.
- Manage product portfolio for retail channel through continual investigation and analysis to drive business improvements for the customer.
- Collaborate with the Retail Sales Analyst to build out optimal data to Support and assist Category Managers - RONA by preparing information and analysis required for customer sales presentation.
- Collaborate with the national retail team to help create the annual business plan and related strategies, objectives, targets, and metrics.
- Deliver quarterly and annual financial results that meet or exceed the annual financial budget.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Product Management Team by providing Customer feedback on new products.
- Support a culture, people management practices and work environment that encourages a high-performing, collaborative, highly engaged and diverse workforce that works effectively in a matrix and at the intersections with the other functions within Metrie (Supply Chain, Procurement, HR, Finance, IT, etc.)
- Develop strong relationships with senior customer field team to gain alignment on product strategies and offerings as well as gain market insights for Metrie.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- Bilingualism in French and English is required.
- Minimum 5 years of previous professional experience in all aspects of sales management, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning and working at a National Level
- Proven strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Previous experience in dealing and communicating effectively with senior team leaders.
