Chemist (Coatings Formulation)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and execute testing methodologies to ensure product performance and quality.
- Develop the new and optimize the existing formulations using expertise in additive and resin chemistry.
- Lead the product R&D by aggressively formulating in the lab environment and professing the pilot batching and field trials to ensure product’s compliance to the field specifications.
- Lead the NPD and product optimization by transforming the formulations experiments to the scale-up and production pipelines.
- Manage cost optimization and cost appropriation of the newly developed product formulas to ensure economic viability of the product portfolio.
- Maintain accurate and structured records of experimentation, field tests, and internal and external data transfer.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to the top industry standards.
- Translate technical knowledge into actionable KPIs to drive project success.
- Supply the professional reports and product-specific technical documentation to the internal and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in coatings formulation chemistry (road marking, general industrial and protective, thermoplastics and 2K systems).
- Proven track record of successful product scale-up.
- Strong knowledge of paints & coatings testing methodologies (lab and field) and experience designing and customization of the test methods.
- Sound knowledge of polymer and additive chemistry, composition-structure-property relationships.
- Experience navigating the regulatory requirements and tailoring the R&D plan to comply within the end market regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and methodical approach to problem-solving is essential for this role.
- Proficiency in modern computer tools and software and ability to learn the new programs from scratch.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, ability to demonstrate agile organization acumen and establishing the internal operational standards.
