Print/Finishing Production Technician

Mprint Sign & Print Solutions Inc. is a multifaceted print company which maintains our core strength of being adaptable and providing the right solutions for our customer’s requirements. We bring decades of experience from both the commercial offset and signage industries and often find ourselves combining that experience to deliver an end product that we and our customers can be proud of.

We are looking to hire a Print/Finishing Production Technician that would be involved in all areas of digital and wide format print production and finishing. Position responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Operating sheetfed binding equipment such as folder, guillotine cutter and booklet maker
- Operating digital press
- Operating wide format printer and plotter
- Finishing and preparing wide format products for shipping
- Installing vinyl graphics on a number of different substrates including walls, windows, floors and vehicles. Previous experience is considered an asset.
- Maintaining and calibrating digital equipment
- Maintain and organize inventory
- Work with Customer Service and Sales team to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
- General cleaning
- Understand and use industry standard software including SAI Production Manager and EFI Fiery Rip
- Receiving orders and restocking inventory.

We are looking for an individual that thrives in a quick moving environment. They must enjoy stretching their boundaries and be self-motivated to continue to develop their skills and improve production techniques. - Experience running digital print equipment
- Comfortable using industry standard software
- Comfortable working with measuring tools and basic math skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent customer service mindset, for both external and internal clients
- Experience with vinyl and vehicle wrap installation
- Well organized, detail orientated, and accurate
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced production environment
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Can identify problematic files that could lead to production problems
- Mechanical aptitude
- Understand colour management
- Enjoys continuous learning

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary training and/or equivalent experience in the print industry required
- PC & Mac experience
- Proficient with Adobe software suite and other print industry related software an asset

This position requires bending and heavy lifting.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
