**About the Organization**

**Job Summary**
- Reporting to, and working under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Lab Manager will work under mínimal supervision to perform project management for multiple projects. The Lab Manager will work closely with other team leaders in the Department of Community Health & Epidemiology, the Department of Psychiatry, Research Services (Dalhousie and IWK), and Financial Services (Dalhousie) to ensure that the objectives of the research labs are managed in an organized and competent manner.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the PI’s grant-funded projects by managing the projects, communicating with project partners, and coordinating all REB activities.
- Provide project administration which includes creating resources and program promotion.
- Perform, maintain, and verify all research grant accounts transactions, and coordinate reimbursement of research participants. Provide financial guidance to the PI.
- Perform and support the onboarding processes and management of research staff, post-doctoral fellows, volunteers, and students who work in the lab. Act as the first point of contact for all lab members.
- Provide administrative guidance and support to the PI which includes managing their Outlook calendar, scheduling meetings, and coordinating all legal documentation communications.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree, with a minimum of two years’ experience in a research/project management position.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and take initiative.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Knowledge of all MS Office software and Adobe Acrobat.

**Assets**
- Undergraduate degree in a health-related field.
- Experience in a research/project management position in a medical/research environment.
- Experience in knowledge translation setting and working with grants and researchers in the area of health promotion.
