Canadian Space Services Ltd (CSS). is a growing government and industrial contractor that provides field services on radar sites throughout Canada and abroad. The work is construction-oriented and entails various installation, maintenance & repairs of radomes and antennas. CSS is looking to recruit seasonal camp cooks for our summer field programs at remote radar sites in the Canadian arctic.

This position will start approximately at then end of June or early July.

**Required Skills**:

- Knowledge of and significant experience with remote camp cooking.
- Understanding of remote camp food ordering and delivery from village supply hubs.
- Familiarity with special diets or nutritional requests (pureed, diabetic, gluten free etc.)
- Camp kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Experience in a construction/industrial/environmental work environment.
- Great communication and intrapersonal skills.
- Comfortable in remote field camp settings for several weeks at a time.
- Takes initiative.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Daily preparation of all meals for a crew of approx. 6 people.
- Camp kitchen cleaning and maintenance.
- Planning and preparation of required cooking equipment, tableware, utensils, etc.
- Placing and receiving food orders, planning meals, managing food and drink supplies.
- Able to work daily for the duration of the scope of work in a remote location.
- Work with the camp supervisor, client representatives, and the wildlife monitor to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Educational Requirements:

- A high school education or equivalent is desired, but not required.
- College level culinary education, ideally including camp cooking, is a must.
- Training and Certifications: First Aid and CPR, etc.
- Willing and able to receive a federal Reliability level security clearance in Canada.

**Job Type**: Temporary, Seasonal

**Salary**: $30.00 - 35.00 per hour, based on experience.
