**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Day Camp Culinary Operations**:

- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious and appealing meals for day camp participants.
- Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and food safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with camp staff to accommodate special requests and menu variations.

**2. Restaurant Prep & Receiving**:

- Assist with restaurant prep work, including cooking, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
- Receive, inspect, and organise food deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain inventory records and communicate with suppliers regarding orders and discrepancies.
- Adhere to proper storage practices, rotating stock, and minimising waste.

**3. Collaboration & Communication**
- Work closely with the camp staff to coordinate meal schedules and dietary needs.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven culinary experience, preferably in a camp or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Up to date Food Handling Certificate.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying camp schedules and dining requirements.
- Passion for creating nutritious and delicious meals.
- Background check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 weeks

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
